Петя Димитрова: “Подкрепяме предприемачи с визия за глобален растеж”

Петя Димитрова е главен изпълнителен директор и председател на УС на Пощенска банка. Тя е и член на УС на Асоциацията на банките в България, БОРИКА, фондация “Атанас Буров”, сдружение “Ендевър България” и Международния банков институт. Член е и на Университетския съвет на Американския университет в България, форума на младите световни лидери към Световния икономически форум, както и на Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) и gp. Носител е на над 20 престижни български и международни награди.

Г-жо Димитрова, заедно с Endeavor България стартирахте първата програма за растеж в България – Dare to Scale, насочена към предприемачите у нас. Защо Пощенска банка застава зад нея? Нашата банка от години подкрепя малкия и среден бизнес в различни райони в страната, затова съвсем логично станахме основен партньор на програмата Dare to Scale, създадена от Endeavor България. С нея 10 български фирми от всички сектори ще получат уникалната възможност да се разраснат и да разширят бизнеса си, подпомагани от опитни ментори от водещи местни и международни компании с опит. Най-ценното за нас е да видим добавената стойност от проекта в перспектива – надяваме се, че фирмите, които ние подкрепяме сега, утре ще помогнат на други да се разбият успешно. Насочили сме се към сегмента на scale-up компаниите, които вече са постигнали много, но все още имат потребност от външна експертиза за оптимизиране на дейността си или за финансиране. Ние ще бъдем техен ментор и доверен финансов партньор, ще им предоставим своите ноу-хау и експертиза, за да постигнат те успеха, който заслужават.

Какъв е вашият съвет към предприемачите в България?

Едно от най-важните условия за успешно развитие, което голяма част от предприемачите у нас пропускат, е да бъдат търпеливи. Понякога и най-добрата бизнес идея може да се реализира по-бавно от очакваното, но това не означава, че няма да се реализира. Друг Важен момент, за да може един бизнес да се развива и да бъде устойчиво успешен, е да има перспективи и на международния пазар. За много компании у нас е невъзможно да изградят стратегия за експанзия извън страната, тъй като нямат достатъчно ресурси. Именно тук е и ролята на новия ни стратегически проект с Endeavor. Той им предоставя тези липсващи ресурси, което на практика е протегната ръка към предприемачи с визия, която ще подпомогне глобалния им растеж.

Petia Dimitrova is Chiet Executive Officer and Chairperson of the MB of Postbank. She is also a member of the MB of the Association of Banks in Bulgaria, BORICA, the ‘Atanas Burov” Foundation, the “Endeavor Bulgaria” Association and the International Banking Institute. She has been awarded with over 20 prestigious Bulgarian and international prizes.

Mrs. Dimitrova, together with Endeavor Bulgaria you started the first programme for growth in Bulgaria – Dare to Scale for the entrepreneurs in our country. Why is Postbank supporting it?

For many years our bank has been supporting the small and medium-sized business in various regions of the country, therefore we have logically become a main partner of the Dare to Scale programme, created by Endeavor Bulgaria. Thanks to it 10 Bulgarian companies from all sectors will be given the opportunity to grow and broaden their business, aided by competent mentors from experienced leading local and international companies. The most valuable thing for us is to see the added value of the project in perspective – we hope that the companies, we are now supporting will tomorrow help others develop successfully. We are heading for the segment of the scale-up companies, which have already achieved a lot, but still needs external expertise for optimization of their activities or for funding. We are going to be their mentor and trusted financial partner, we are going to support them with our know-how and expertise, in order for them to achieve the success that they deserve.

What is your advice for the entrepreneurs in Bulgaria?

One of the most important conditions for successful development, which many of the entrepreneurs in our country are omitting, is being patient. Sometimes even the best business idea may be implemented slower than expected, but this does not meant that it will not. Another important matter, in order for a business to develop and be sustainably successful, is for it to have perspectives on the international market as well. For many companies in Bulgaria it is impossible to establish a strategy for expansion outside the country, as because they do not have enough resources. This is where our strategic project with Endeavour comes into play. It ensures these lacking resources, which in reality means lending a hand to those entrepreneurs with a vision for their global growth.
